A Belgian style Dark Strong Ale Quasar is a dark rich and complex. The beer pours with a dense off-white head. Brewed with no dark malts all of Quasar’s deep burgundy color comes from a huge addition of deeply caramelized sugar. A unique yeast strain produces a slight spiciness and a distinct fruit character reminiscent of cherries. The yeast character and caramelized sugar build a complexity of flavors that continue to change as the beer warms. A long and slightly sweet finish highlights the silky smooth mouth-feel.
